Energy Monolith – Sustainable Heat Generation Using Near-Surface Geothermal Energy

The future of heat generation lies beneath our feet. The Energiemonolith uses near-surface geothermal energy, modern high-performance collectors, and specially treated liquid soil to harness sustainable heat directly from the ground for use in buildings.

The system is suitable for buildings, traffic areas, parking lots, open spaces, schools, daycare centers, and municipal infrastructure. This provides an efficient, buildable, and cost-effective solution for modern heat supply without the need for traditional deep drilling.

Energiemonolith as a Sustainable Energy Solution for Buildings and Municipalities

What is the Energy Monolith?

The Energy Monolith combines modern, high-performance collectors with specially treated liquid soil. The system harnesses the solar heat stored in the ground and makes it available for use in buildings year-round—efficiently, sustainably, and virtually anywhere.

In winter:
Heat is extracted from the ground and used to provide sustainable heating for the building.

In the summer:
The floor can regenerate itself through natural sunlight and ambient heat—without any additional external energy input.

The Energy Monolith is thus an alternative to traditional geothermal energy systems and is particularly well-suited for projects in which existing areas are to be put to effective use for energy purposes.

Find out what makes the Energy Monolith unique and why the system can serve as an alternative to traditional geothermal energy systems.

How does the Energy Monolith work?

The Energy Monolith utilizes near-surface geothermal energy. Special geothermal collectors are embedded in suitable areas and absorb thermal energy from the ground. This energy is transported to the heat pump via a heat transfer system, where it is used for heating, hot water, or cooling.

A major advantage is the stable temperatures in the ground. Compared to air-source heat pumps alone, the system is less susceptible to significant fluctuations in outdoor temperatures. This allows for a particularly efficient and predictable long-term heat supply.

Harnessing Geothermal Energy Beneath Roadways, Buildings, and Open Spaces

Renewable, efficient, and right on site: The Energy Monolith makes near-surface geothermal energy economically viable—even beneath buildings, streets, parking lots, playgrounds, or green spaces.

This allows existing spaces to be used for two purposes. While they continue to serve as parking lots, streets, schoolyards, sports fields, or outdoor facilities above ground, sustainable heat can be generated and stored underground.

This makes the energy monolith particularly appealing for municipalities, commercial properties, public buildings, new construction projects, and retrofit projects with limited space

Green spaces remain usable while climate-friendly energy is generated underground. This allows parks and other green spaces to be put to good use for energy production.

Why the
Energy Monolith Is Worth It

Optimal Energy Transfer
Thanks to its liquid embedding, the collector lies flush against the ground. This allows heat to be absorbed, stored, and transferred to the system with exceptional efficiency.

Suitable for Overbuilding & Long-Term Stability
Whether under roads, parking lots, or buildings: The strength of the liquid soil can be adjusted to suit the specific application. This ensures that the surface remains stable and usable over the long term.

Sealing and Vibration Damping
The specially formulated liquid base can provide a sealing effect and dampen vibrations. This offers additional safety, especially near traffic areas or sensitive zones.

Cost Reduction Through Reuse
Existing soil can be reused directly on site. This reduces disposal costs, cuts down on transportation distances, and can significantly lower construction costs.

Reduced Land Use
Even small areas, inner-city lots, or already-used spaces can be integrated into the energy system. This creates a sustainable heat supply without requiring large additional areas.

Energy Monolith for Municipalities, Buildings, and Infrastructure

The Energy Monolith is particularly well-suited for municipalities, public institutions, commercial properties, and large-scale infrastructure projects. Existing spaces such as parking lots, schoolyards, sports facilities, or public outdoor areas can be used for sustainable heat generation.

For cities and municipalities, the system offers the opportunity to reduce CO₂ emissions, make energy costs more predictable in the long term, and effectively integrate municipal land into the heat supply.

Quality Through Liquid Soil, Civil Engineering, and Specialized Partners

A key component of the energy monolith is the proper installation of the geothermal collectors. Specially treated liquid soil can be used for this purpose. It ensures efficient heat transfer, protects the collectors, and allows for the long-term, stable use of the area.

Especially when it comes to traffic areas, parking lots, or buildings, the combination of geothermal energy, liquid soil, and civil engineering is crucial. Planning, construction, civil engineering work, liquid soil, and system integration are all interlinked in this process. Specialized partner companies ensure that the individual steps are planned and implemented professionally.

The result is a quality-assured, comprehensive solution for sustainable heating and cooling using near-surface geothermal energy, which combines technical functionality with structural stability.
